A few more random pics!

One weekend we went to a Church of Christ up in Mount Orab (where i live) on a Friday night for their living Christmas tree performance. This is a different and "exciting" happening for me, because we live 30 miles from our church, and never participate in any church functions out here. It was "interesting" lol. There was a little skit to start out with which was funny. then the Christmas tree. The tree itself was really pretty, it was all decorated as you can see from the pic, but it had colored & white lights that did different patterns etc that moved with the rythym of the music (enough to give a person with epilepsy a seizure, lol jk). But the singing...umm... lol the choir wasn't that bad actually, it's just the songs they chose. They did a few traditional Christmas songs, the rest.. well.. not our style. Oh, and the soloists (i'm not trying to sound harsh or mean just tellin yaal the truth), left a LOT to be desired, there was one girl that had a pretty voice, only problem was she sang flat. Anyway going to this made us appreciate our church, choir, and choir director - Rob Ryan, all that much more :)

So, This post began on Christmas Eve or whenever it was that I ambitiously started posting all this stuff to get caught up. Right after posting the pics i had to go eat or something and ... yeah never finished it. I will post about Christmas later, but for now a few more random pics :) enjoy!

So, I probably shouldn't post these 2 pics, but .. oh well..One Sunday we ate lunch at Tonya & Craig's apartment and spent the afternoon. Of course we all (mom, dad, me) brought changes of clothes so we wouldn't have to wear dress clothes all afternoon. Well, after dad changed back into his dress clothes when we were getting ready for church Sunday night, Craig decided to try dad's pants on! So the above pic is Craig with dad's pants on overtop of his, he took them off w/o unbuttoning them. Then he squeezed both of his legs into one of dads pant legs, the below pic. Ok, you might think we are weird, but it was funny

Our Church Christmas program was the evening of December 21. My niece Sedona who is 5, has NEVER had a speaking part in anything. She is just now starting to sing. Last year she sang with the other kids at her pre-school Christmas program, but that's all for school & church. She is in kindergarten this year, and she has grown up a lot, grown more mature, so she now sings in junior church and all. Well, she had a little verse to say in this year's program. We weren't sure if she would say it, because she can be STUBBORN! But she got up there and said her part, i was SOOO proud of her!! She did great!!!

Well, that's all for this time, after interuptions I finally got this post done, sometime soon I need to post about Christmas Eve & Christmas! Have a great day!

Church Christmas Dinner & Pics of the fam

Me with my FAV niece & FAV 5 year old!!!

So, our church has an annual Christmas dinner, that's always usually a lot of fun. Food, Family, Entertainment. This year it was on Monday, and the week just happened to be my finals week from 1st semester nursing school. I had had a few finals the week before (1 skills, 1 lab, 1 lecture). I had 3 finals on finals week. 1 Tuesday, 1 Wednesday, 1 Thursday. The 2 I was worried about were the Tuesday & wednesday finals. See, I kinda had this goal of getting all A's except in A & P which i would accept a B (which i blogged about earlier). I knew I would have at least 2 A's and was pretty sure I would have 3 A's, but these 2 finals would pretty much determine whether I got an A or B in these 2 classes (one of which was A & P), see i was all on course towards my B in A & P, but the teacher gave us 2 extra credit assignments which helped my grade a TON and brought it up to a A. Well, the aforementioned lab final was in A & P and i did NOT do so hot. I knew to get an A in the class i would have to do REALLY good on the final (on Wednesday). My other class my biggest nursing class, i had a A in but just barely. So, I knew if i scored below a 92 (an A-) I would lose my A (-) in the class. So, all this to say I was pretty stressed out & scared. I wasn't sure if i could go to the christmas dinner or not, but I eventually just decided to go. The dinner was a lot of fun. I sat at a table with my parents, oldest sis Jess, her husband Bill, their 3 kids, and Bill's parents. It was fun, of course i always enjoy bein around my lil kiddies, which yaal know by now i'm sure. Highlights..hmm.. well we sang the song "12 Days of Christmas" each table had either an object to hold up when their verse came and had to sing that little section alone like we got "2 turtle doves" Sis Eisenhart gave us 2 plastic turtles (closest she could find) and when the part came to "2 turtle doves" our table was supposed to stand up and sing it. Well, see, the only really outgoing person at our table was my dad. Mom, Jess, Me, Bill, Bill's parents are quiet. And of course the kids wouldn't help. So everytime it got to "2 turtle doves' dad stood up alone and sang. It got to be a humorous part of the song. He tried out different voices and at one point sang "1 turtle dove" because he was the only one singing. everytime it came to this we (mostly mom, me, jess, bill) DIED laughing. Guess you'd have to know our family to truly understand. Needless to say it was FUNNY & dad has since been teased about singing a "solo" in church by people at church.

Besides that, we're not much of a family picture taking family. The last "official" "studeo" picture (or whatever) of our family was probably... 16 years ago maybe. I was probably 3 or less yrs old. Not countin the pics taken at my sister's weddings. My grandma is a hard person to buy christmas presents for if you knew her you'd know why but i don't feel like going into it here, now. So i found a picture frame that said "family" at kroger and had about 10 different size slots for pics. My grandma loves pics and has tons of them all over her house, so i bought it. So, we decided to take "family pictures" at the dinner when we all would be together. I wanted one of me and the 3 kids, but by the time we went to take that pic Brice cried for his mommy and all we got was me and the 2 older kids. The pics are below go see :) .. oh one explanation, on the family pic we had Bruce Hutchison, a CRAZY funny guy take it. So that is the explanation why we are all laughing :)

I'm not sure if you all want to hear the end result of my finals or not, but since I started I may as well finish. Well, finals week i was SUPER stressed. I studied and studied for the nursing final over the weekend, and started getting ready for A & P. I was praying a lot about it, and my parents were too. I told them the exact time of my finals so they could be praying then for me, and they did. I took the nursing final, you know how it is after a exam, though i did okay but didn't know if i did good enough. Took A & P (it was 2 sections, 1 short answer, 1 questions) i remembere everything i studied for the short answer, but wasn't sure about the other questions. We did get a 5 pt bonus question though. and the Thursday final was easy. I found out.. Thursday I think how i did on nursing i made a.....94!!!!!!!!! I was SOO happy, it kept my grade at a 92 (just what i needed). I think it was Friday night... my parents had just gone to bed (at like 12:30 am) and i was headed to bed but wanted to check and see if A & P grades were posted yet. I went and looked and sure enough they were... i got a...99!!!!!!!!!!! I was SOOOOOO excited i got up, ran down stairs (in the DARK house with NO lights on) and banged on my parents door to tell them my good news!! with the lab final (that I did NOT GOOD on, my grade ended up a 92 (just what i wanted but hadn't even hoped for). the other test I got a 98 on, my class grade was like 96, 97 (somewhere around there) but i wasn't worried about that one. So, I am NOT at ALL trying to brag on myself, please understand that. I thank God for all His help to me this semester. I know I could NOT HAVE made it w/o him. He helped me do better than i deserved, and I know he helped me a ton of finals. Next semester I hear is a LOT LOT LOT harder. I only have 3 classes (2 nursing, 1 general- A & P 2, oh joy). My goal is till all A's. I am going to try to work a lot harder & start the semester off with better study habits. If any of you prayed for me this semester THANK YOU!!! and please pray for me next semester as i continue the adventure of nursing school!

The "Hoschar" girls (used to be at least, lol) Me, Tonya, Jessica (L-R, youngest to oldest, and tallest to shortest)
My oldest sis Jess (12 yrs older than me) and her husband Bill & the 3 kiddies Sedona (5), Cam (3), Brice (1)

Piano Quartet Concert Pics

Me & Mrs. Miller after the recital (greatest teacher ever)

So, I will be posting probably a series of posts with pics & words (lol, wow profound). So, look at them all plz :) .. First a few pics from the piano quartet concert/recital thing, that I posted the video of below. Piano Quartet Concert- Ben Hur Chariot Race

So, a long time ago Mrs. Miller had a piano quartet concert/recital at GBS of all of her piano students (college & private). She asked me if I could be in it (time wise with school) and I told her I was sure I could find time to practice (this was way back in summer) so we started practicing. I was going to play with her, on the other piano 2 girls from my church, Lorna Truesdale & Natasha Hausman. So, eventually the concert came, i don't know when it was, some time in November I guess. It was a lotta fun. My sister videoed part of our Ben Hurr song, which was SOOO much fun. But she didn't know she was videoing for sure, and she quit before the really awesome end. Oh well, here it is. Enjoy!

It's been a while... Old Happenings

Hey All! Like my title says, it's been a while. Life has just gotten SOO crazy busy!!! This week is finals week, the 2 hard ones were yesterday and today, so today i sit in relief. I have one more test, but's its just an exam I need to study for it (it's tomorrow) but i'm not worried about it. I know i'm behind in blogging and seriously i don't remember what all has happened, but I thought i would blog this, so when i go home for break i'll blog other stuff: thanksgiving, christmas banquet at church. So as not to overwhelm yaal with tons of new stuff... lol...

Sometime way back when it was WARM outside, we had "bonfire". Actually it was just burning our brushpile, but Sedona wanted a "bonfire" so we obtainted a "burning permit" (stupid, we used to be able to just burn the stuff but now... oh well) anyways, and they (jess, bill, the kids) came out on a Friday night. So we burned the brush pile for the kids, ordered pizza, and Sedona spent the night. She's only spent the night maybe once before when she was REALLY, and they were in the hospital after Cam was born. It was interesting :) Sedona slept with me, and okay i have a queen size bed, but she had to sleep RIGHT up next to me, when i told her to scoot over she'd scoot over 2 inches... oh well. Saturday she helped Mama and Aunt Tonya paint a building Dad and craig built for the 4 wheelers etc (i never told yaal about the building, they build it from scratch, no kit or anything) it looks cool. anyways yeah ... umm that's about it. I'm trying to get out of my habit of writing a TON with every post, since yaal like pics not reading long posts. So, my last final is tomorrow and 8 am. then i will have 3 weeks of GLORIOUS freedom *sigh of relief*... so i'll post about Thanksgivin & the Christmas dinner sometime later.... Enjoy the pics:
Brice, playing in the driveway. He LOVED the gravel!
Running around, he wouldn't cooperate to take a pic

Me & Brice walkin out into the field to see the fire

Sedona cheesin with the cat/kitten we adopted for a while. well, it kinda just showed up so i fed it until dad got rid of it. It was simply called "kitty" although sedona wanted to name it "pluto"

Personally, i think this pic is adorable!

The fire. This was after it died down a lil, it was HUGE when dad lit it!

headin back to the house, it's hard to walk and take a pic at the same time

I think he was laughing at me...
Ready 4 supper -pizza

Sedona with a "table" from the pizza box

Ready 2 paint on Saturday. with my socks on and dad's tee shirt (he never wears short sleeves, but it's a shirt he got free at a transmission seminar or somethin...)

Sedona hard at work painting...

you should have seen that brush when she was done! Lol... she went down lines then back up .. needless to say the brush went in the trash :)

Sedona and her lil section.. she worked till she fell backwards over a cement block. Lol. it didn't hurt her just gave her a few scrapes that went away after i washed them but of course she had to have bandaids so i guessed at the place of injury :) lol

Sedona painted all the lady bugs blue. Lol. guess she didn't know it would kill them... oh well...That's all for this time. :)

Hey! I figured out how to do a new blog layout/template thingy. So I have updated my blog for winter, although winter isn't really my favorite season, well it's NOT my fav season, prolly my worst, I thought the pic was pretty. In doing so I somehow deleted my pics & Blog list so i had to redo those as well, but i put up different pics. So let me know if you like the new look. I'll try to do a real post later.

Some Encouragement

Last night rather than stayin home alone and doin homework, I went over to election celebration at GBS to watch the election results come in. At first it was exciting, because Mccain got some states, but then.. well yaal know what happened. I left around 10 because i had 7 am clinicals today. I shouldn't have been surprised about who won, but I was trusting God and had prayed for a LONG time about this election and our country in general. Nevertheless, the worse happened. This week seems to be EVERYTHING, the election, 2 tests, a paper due, my parents out of town on a mini vacation, so needless to say i'm just a little stressed. So, i got home from clinicals today and i was just SOO depressed and discouraged and upset about the election. I knew i would get nothing done if i stayed like that so i did what i normally when i feel like that, got my Bible out. Psalms and Proverbs are 2 of my favorite books. I just started reading through the passages I have underlined in Psalms, and started typing up the verses that were most encouraging to me, I printed them out and am going to hang on my fridge, alongside the 10 predictions no matter who gets in office, from Sis Eisenhart's blog. Yeah the next 4 years seem like it's taking forever, and they haven't really started yet, but GOD IS IN CONTROL NOT MAN!!! I thought I would share these verses with yaal so hopefully they will encourage you to. If some of the verses are slightly out of context, sorry, it's KJV, and some things actually mean different things than i think they do. Oh well, here they are, By the way i didn't even go all the way through Psalms, just a little but got a lOT of verses. Oh and don't forget to pray for America, Pres. Bush, Obama, and for revival in America!

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Ps. 16:8

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. Ps. 18:17

Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Ps 22:11

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. Ps 22:27

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Ps 25:2

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me: he shall set me up upon a rock. Ps 27:3, 5

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off remembrance of them from the earth. Ps 34: 15-16

And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. Ps 37:40

Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we treat them under that rise up against us. For I will trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. Ps. 44:5-7

God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.
Ps 46:1-2

Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Ps. 46:10

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust: I WILL NOT FEAR WHAT FLESH CAN DO UNTO ME. Ps 56:3-4

Finally a new post, with lotsa pics!!!! (Mccain/Palin rallly, the kids, W VA etc)

beautiful West Virginia
Exactly a week ago today, to the minute, I was standing in a HUGE line waiting for the doors to open to the McCain/Palin rally at Lunken Airport, Cincy. Many thanks to my friend, Piepie who informed me of the rally. She called me Monday night and left a message (since I missed the call) askin if I'd be interested in going and driving her. I was of course, but Wednesdays are my clincal days from 7 am to 1:30 pm and i was afraid i wouldn't be able to go. I was delighted to find out that the doors didn't open till 3:30 and the "show" didn't start till 5:30 and of course the 2 main people weren't supposed to show up till later. So, I decided to go. I got home from clincials and quickly changed clothes. Then me and Piepie headed out. I was a little worried about finding the right place once I arrived at the airport and i shouldn't have worried we were there nearly an hour an a half before the gates opened but there were already a LOT in line, plus more arriving, and tons of vendors of McCain/Palin items. I FINALLY found a place to park, me and Piepie bought buttons (see pic below) then started walkin towards the line, we stopped again to buy tee shirts (the Road to Victory Mccain Palin rally tee shirt) for only $5 each!! Finally we got into line and surprisingly the time passed quickly. The gates didn't open right at 3:30 (does anything happen on time?) but they did eventually then we went through security. We had to take off all buttons, metal items that we could. Turn on all electronics. and put our purses or bags down to be looked through, then walk through a metal detector thing. Yeah, i made it through w/o making the thing beep! lol :). We then walked into the hangar where the rally was held. We found a place to stand, pretty close to the front, when you look at the whole spectrum. lol. We were maybe 10-15 rows of tightly packed standing people back. My pics (below) make it look like we are way far away, but a lot of people who have pics that look closer were farther behind us they just must have cameras that zoom in more than mine. Oh well. We stood and stood and stood. My feet were KILLING me!!! They had just gotten un-sore (lol) from a 5+ mile walk i did the previous Satruday (the 18th) for Autism Awareness (for school). of course the thing didn't start on time. when it did some women who have some small political offices in Cincy talked then some guy talked (don't know who he was ) just enough to get us all rallied up and excited then they put on that stupid music that they played the whole 2 hours before the thing started, and made us wait, talk about a let down. FINALLY they showed, on the big screen, a plane landing. Once it got closer we could see the side of it, it proudly said "Mccain-Palin". So of course the crowd got SOOO excited, we waited and waited but no one got off, so back to the waiting game. Eventually country singer, Gretchen Wilson showed up with her band and sang "redneck woman" not my favorite singer or song, but oh well... then during her song they showed on the screen another plane landing this one with just "Mccain" on the side. we all got excited again. but this was the real deal. It took forever for all those secret service or whoever they were to get off but after what seemed like hours FINALLY John McCain and Sarah Palin (and spouses) accompanied by Rob Portman (i think) got off. I cannot tell you how excited that crowd was. I joined the rest in screamin at the top of my lungs for them, lol, it was SO FUN! Rob Portman introduced the first speaker, Cindy Mccain, after her SARAH then john mccain, then of course it was over. So i didn't get to meet them actually but i saw them and it was SO exciting. I went to a Bush rally in 2004 the day before the election, that was my first experience at anything like this and i LOVED, i was like one of Bush's biggest fans/supporters. this rally was totally different, i think the excitement level was MUCH higher and much more and louder screams at the Mccain rally, and it seemed like more people, but there was more entertainment at the Bush rally, it seemed like we walked in and didn't wait long and then everything started. oh well they both were awesome experiences. I've been wanting to go to a McCain palin rally after seeing everyone else's pics and am so glad i finally got the opportunity. see the pics below

Ok, what else. School has been ok. lately i've been getting overwhelmed and kind of depressed. I think I'm just ready for a break, I mean there was fall break, but how is 2-3 days a break when you have 2 exams and a project due right after it? I'm looking forward to thanksgiving break, but even more to Christmas Break!! YEAH..

I went 2 west virginia since i posted last. It was SOOO much fun. My cousin, Sierra, was home on Saturday, she had a competetion but it got canceled. So we went 2 the flea market Saturday mornin, and went 2 walmart saturday night. SO MUCH FUN! we tried on halloween masks and etc and had just so much fun. ok i admit i didn't act my age, but hey it's all in fun. i didn't post any pics of the walmart trip or flea market cuz i got tired of posting pics and doubt many people read this or even care. but if yaal wanna see just let me know (in comments) and i'll post them sometime. sunday mornin was church, i LOVE their new pastor. they finally have a good man as their pastor! their last 2 pastors, have been not so great women. dad took us on a 4 wheeler ride that afternoon, that was fun like always. I did post a few pics below of my grandparents from our trip but that and the scenery pic above is all.

Fall Break, like i mentioned, was a few weeks ago. That Tuesday i went walmart shopping with mom, jess, and the kids, like we do in summer (they still do know, i just don't go) so that was fun i posted a few pics of the kids i got from that day.

Well, of course i could think of more but i'm sure you've read enough, or most prolly just skip the reading and look at pics. i should go anyway i have homework to do before tomorrow.

Oh, Jess and bill & the kids r comin out Friday night we're gonna have a "Bonfire" because Sedona wants one, then sedona is spending the night, with me! fun stuff! lol should be interesting.

Also, don't forget to VOTE Tuesday. Speaking of which, i went to bob evans saturday evening with my parents. i wore my Mccain Palin pin i got at the rally. the manager lady who seated us asked me after we were seated, "can i ask you a question?" "why are you voting for mccain" i got scared thinking she was gonna yell at me but she went on "I'm an undecided voter, trying to figure out who to vote for". so me and dad preceded to tell her a few reasons we were voting for him (most of them were anti obama stuff) so that was exciting that i got to "witness" for mccain! lol if i can even get 1 voter to vote for him from my pin my money was well spent. Our waitress (another lady) said that her son's room looks like a mccain headquarters. she said he has tons of Mccain signs that he has taken from different peoples yards. lol of course she said you have to take them back, how old is he? 7! you can tell it's an important election when even the little kids are talking about it. My sisters kindergarteners were asking the other day "who are you voting for?" everyone answered "McCain" except one. lol. You know i heard some people discussing the election Saturday at the table behind us at Skyline and it got me to thinking. they were obviously for mccain but they were sayin, you know it might very well be God's will for Obama to get in office, to turn America to it's knees. and i thought about that and it made SOO much sense. If he wins and results of that might make america turn back to God. Although, i support Mccain and do NOT want obama to win, and i will never call obama president fyi, he will always be "obama" to me, the thought that maybe, just maybe America might have a revival excited me. I mean we've been praying for God's will in this election. That he will put the best person, most conducive to revival can get in, right? i know i have. sometimes God works in mysterious ways, i guess we'll see..

oh well, on to the pics,

My grandpa (papa!!!) these are mom's parents by the way...

I don't claim to be a great photographer, but i have to admit this is a REALLY cute pic! actually the pose was her idea, we were in her back yard and she just kept movin down the fence "take a picture here" "take a picture down here" and so on, i have more but this is the best.
